I’m always being asked to do things for preferably less than nothing. So, I’m always on the lookout for free stuff. At the moment we are re-evaluating how we backup our data and servers. Most of these are now virtualised using VMware vSphere 4.x ESX hosts and iSCSI SANs. Anyhow, I recently discovered that Unitrends […]
I came across this article by Keith Mayer a few weeks ago: http://bit.ly/106ES98 However, it was only this week that I was able to dedicate some time to setting up my own sharepoint lab. Its pretty cool. I especially like the scripts that make it easy to unprovision and reprovision the VMs. It is only […]
I have pfSense 2.x running at a number of sites. In most cases I have a basic modem router configured in bridge mode. Some time ago, I was setting up a new Sharepoint (Foundation) 2010 server and was reminded of this page on Todd Klindt’s Sharepoint Admin Blog: http://www.toddklindt.com/blog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=237. I used this as the basis for my first Sharepoint 2010 setup last year. Thanks Todd.
Hadn’t done this for awhile and did some google searching to refresh my memory. I found this page useful: http://ranaictiu-technicalblog.blogspot.com.au/2010/09/move-sharepoint-siteweb-from-one.html and thought i’d include it here. Its probably more for my future reference than anything else. However, if it helps you then great! Thanks Sohel.

I wondered if there was a way to get the passwords rather than reset them. A quick google search turned up this page: http://joelblogs.co.uk/2012/09/22/recovering-passwords-for-sharepoint-2010-farm-web-application-and-service-application-accounts/ on a […]
